If global economic hardship, disparity and suffering has been rooted ever deeper by the global COVID-19 pandemic, then young innovators and entrepreneurs can be the seeds from which hope and healing grow!
UNFICYP believes this to be true, and in coalition with Cypriot organizations and others, intents to explore how young entrepreneurs from communities across Cyprus can come together with innovative approaches for a better economic life in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
The collaboration between Center for Social Innovation – CSI, CyprusInno & The Base by CyprusInno, and İnovatif Girişimcilik / Innovative Entrepreneurship has developed a series of activities, starting with a live discussion (online) with successful innovators and entrepreneurs, and leading to a series of workshops at a later day.

Opportunity From Crisis: Launching Your Innovative Idea in a Post-Pandemic World (Virtual Forum)

May 26, 2021

On Wednesday, May 26 and Thursday, May 27, CyprusInno will be hosting its virtual forum for university students, Opportunity from Crisis: Launching Your Innovative Idea in a Post-Pandemic World. The free two-day virtual forum will feature a diverse lineup of expert speakers from Cyprus and around the world who will discuss topics to help inspire a new generation of young, post-crisis entrepreneurs in Cyprus.

For more information visit: https://cyprusinno.com/virtual-forum-2021/ and to register directly visit https://lu.ma/forumcy
Day 1: Wednesday May 26 at 10:00 EEST – 13:00 EEST
Day 2: Thursday May 27 at 10:00 EEST – 13:00 EEST
A crisis unveils new needs, new pain points, and intensifies existing problems, leading to new opportunities for young entrepreneurs, particularly university students, to position themselves at the forefront of an era of crisis-driven innovation. The pandemic slow-down, the birth or sudden surge of specific industries, and the prospective “ushering in” of a more prosperous post-pandemic decade creates the ideal conditions for young entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs to turn their innovative ideas into a reality. As history shows, many new, innovative companies that we know of today were born in a time of crisis.

The talks will be filmed and live streamed from The Base by CyprusInno.  A total of 11 speakers will participate in lightning-round talks over the two days and across six sessions:
